Based on the discussion, members from different regions agreed to nominate certain individuals based on ability, vision, leadership, and willingness to lead Tsab Thooj Xeeb the next four years.

II.         Charlie reported that he has been in touch with members from different regions across the U.S., and they informed him that as things are developing towards the election, they will nominate somebody or may not nominate anybody at all.  He added that, for instance, members in the Alaska region will not have a candidate to nominate.  Nonetheless, they will support the elected person to lead the clan organization.   There are no candidates from the Oregon and Washington state regions either.

We have, however, a candidate from Minnesota.  Tswv Txus Tsab is being nominated and has accepted the nomination to be a candidate.

Nkias Pov Tsab is also being nominated from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The North Carolina region has no candidate but has expressed support for new leadership in the organization, whoever he or she may be.

Charlie asked Silas to read the names of individuals being nominated:
1. Silas Cha,     Fresno, CA
2. Fong Cha,    Sacramento, CA
3. Txooj Vam Tsab (current president) and Sacramento, CA
4. Nkias Pov Tsab,       Wisconsin
5. Tswv Txus Tsab      St. Paul, MN

Vam Txhaij reported that the Oklahoma and Missouri region has yet to decide on a candidate although they tend to lean towards Soob Tsheej.  The members in this region will hold a meeting some time this week and will inform Charlie and other members of the elections committee on whom they are nominating.  However, the nomination must be made and name of candidate forwarded to the committee no later than November 19th

Charlie said that all candidates are to send in a short autobiography to him and other members of the elections committee by November 19th also.  Three things are needed: (1) short autobiography,
(2) picture, and (3) vision for the organization.

Charlie added that the members of the elections committee (coordinators) by regions are as follows:
1. Zoov Nruas (Wisconsin)
2. Txooj Zeb (Minnesota)
3. Tsav Foom (Washington state)
4. Nyiaj Kuam (Alaska)
5. Vam Txhaij (Missouri and Oklahoma)
6. Tub Fwm     (Michigan)
7. Txheej Choj (North Carolina)
8. Txooj Lis Tsab (Denver, Colorado)

Fong said that as candidates forwarded their materials to Charlie, he will work with Charlie to set up a website to list all the candidates.  Members could access it and vote.

Tsab Co wanted to say a few words of encouragement to the members.  He said he’s so much encouraged to hear the enthusiasm we have for our family organization and the promotion of our family pride, thereby linking ourselves to opportunities like economic development and political endeavors.

Charlie ended the meeting by saying that all candidates being nominated must submit their information to him by November 20, 2011, and they may not back out.
